5. Online Resale & Marketplace Restrictions
Unauthorised resale of new products on third-party platforms (e.g., Takealot, Gumtree, Facebook Marketplace) is prohibited.
Authorised bulk purchases for interior decorators, property developers, and businesses are permitted, provided Products are delivered to the end-user.
Second-hand sales by private individuals are allowed if clearly indicated as used.
6. Product Pricing & Information
Prices are in South African Rand (ZAR), inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
Delivery costs are additional unless explicitly included.
Product specifications and images are as accurate as possible, but minor variations may occur due to stock changes, screen display differences, or promotions.
Shandu Furnitures reserves the right to correct any pricing or product errors.
7. Payment Terms
We offer diverse, secure payment methods to suit all customers:
Credit & Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express via PayFast, Yoco, or Peach Payments.
Instant EFT: Through Ozow or standard bank transfers.
Store Credit: Monthly instalments via Shandu Furniture Credit, Mobicred, RCS, Payflex, ZeroPay.
Direct Bank Deposits/EFT: Processed once funds reflect.
Cash on Delivery (COD): Available on select items within Gauteng for customer convenience.
Full payment must be received before dispatch unless a special arrangement is made.
8. Delivery Policy
We deliver nationwide, excluding Western Cape and Eastern Cape. Customers in these areas may arrange self-collection.
All deliveries use trusted courier and transport partners.
Customers can track their order via email or WhatsApp notifications.
Delivery charges are calculated based on location, load size, and accessibility.
Approximate Gauteng delivery ranges:
North West: R1,500 – R3,500
Limpopo: R2,500 – R4,500
Mpumalanga: R2,500 – R4,500
Free State: R3,000 – R5,500
KwaZulu-Natal: R4,000 – R7,500
Northern Cape: R7,000 – R11,000
Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by unforeseen circumstances. Missed appointments or inaccessible premises may incur additional fees.
9. Cancellation, Returns & Refunds
Cancellation:
Orders can be cancelled before processing for a full refund.
Online purchases have a 7-day cooling-off period, provided items are unused, unassembled, and in original packaging.
Returns:
Non-defective items can be returned at the customer’s expense. A handling fee of 15% may apply.
Defective or damaged items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
Refunds:
Refunds are processed within 20 working days or a full calendar month, depending on supplier and banking procedures.
The refund will be returned via the original payment method.
Shop-soiled, personalized, or used items beyond the stipulated period are non-refundable.
Return Shipping Costs:
The customer is generally responsible for return shipping, unless the product is defective or incorrectly supplied.
If Shandu Furnitures or a supplier needs to collect an item for warranty purposes, the customer may be liable for fuel or transport costs.
10. Warranty
General Furniture:
All products carry a 12-month guarantee against defects in materials or workmanship.
This is distinct from warranties provided by manufacturers, which may vary.
Mattresses & Specialty Items:
Manufacturer warranties vary: 3, 5, or 20 years depending on the item.
Warranties cover manufacturing defects only, not wear and tear, misuse, or commercial use.
Customers using warranty services may be liable for collection or transport fees.
11. Limitation of Liability
Shandu Furnitures is not liable for:
Loss, damage, or expenses arising from website use or purchases, except where required by law.
Minor variations in product color, design, or size.
Delivery delays due to courier, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Customers agree to indemnify Shandu Furnitures against claims arising from breach of Terms or unauthorized use of the Website.
12. Security
All online payments are processed through trusted, secure gateways (PayFast, Yoco, Peach Payments).
Customers are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of login details.
Any attempt to compromise website security may result in civil or criminal action.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa.
14. POPIA & Customer Data
We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
